LIBRETTO

“The Price of Pomegranates,” a one act libretto I began writing while studying with Ernest Hilbert, was scored by Jerome Malek and staged in workshop format at Writing the Rockies at Western University in Gunnison in July of 2016. This operetta, loosely based on the Biblical book of Ruth, tells the story of three Afghan refugees living in California living between cultures and between duty and the desire. Performed and recorded, July, 22, 2016.
